Make the best use of your power infrastructure and your existing cooling systems with Racks and Containment!
Data centers are prone to waste more than sixty percent of its cooling energy in the form of bypass air. Containment setups act as a barrier between the cold air inlet supply and the hot air exhaust from different equipment exhausts. Through the installation of carefully calculated containments, the power consumption to cooling ratio can be brought in line with each other. Racks, on the other hand, are the schematic organization of data center equipment. They help in making efficient use of space, ensures proper air flow and assures smooth and reliable functioning.
Cold Aisle Containment
The open architecture of the data room gives rise to airflow management concerns and increasing energy requirements. Through the careful installation of cold aisle containment, we can help you create an encasing of the cold air in a closed loop between its origin point in the floor and the server intake point. This prevents hot air contamination as the equipment exhaust air cannot penetrate these boundaries and directly routes back to the air handlers.
Hot Aisle Containment
The server exhausts emit hot air and for maintaining the ambient temperature of the data center, this must be driven out of the environment immediately. For this, all the equipment exhausts are placed facing one another forming an aisle. The installation of a physical barrier to keep this aisle from the cold air inlet is where hot aisle containment comes into play. This helps in guiding the hot airflow back to the air handlers and increases the cooling efficiency by almost thirty percent.
